FAQ

  • Do I receive a discount on my child's registration for coaching?

YES! Coaches get 1 child per season for $25 and Assistant Coaches get $25 off one child’s registration. We ask that you email registrar@gladstonesoccer.com the name of your child and they will manually register you. Payment can be brought to the coaches meeting.

  • How do I sign up as a coach.

Head to the register link and register yourself as admin or coach. You should be prompted to have you background check done if you haven’t done it in the last year. You will also need to do your SafeSport Training.

  • How do I do my Safesport training?

All soccer board members, coaches, assistant coaches, parent helpers, or anyone who will be working with players or coaches in any manner while part of any association activities (e.g. games, practices) must complete their Safesport training once per calendar year. When you successfully complete the training, you will download a certificate as a PDF.

  • When is picture day?

We will schedule a few different evenings for picture day and coaches will have the opportunity to sign up for those at the coaches meeting. Photos will be taken at the dog park on the other side of the Meldrum Bar garden. It’s the coaches responsibility to remind their players.

  • I need help with practice ideas.

Please email coaching@gladstonesoccer.com for ANY practice, game, or ref questions or concerns.

  • Do I have to have my Coaches Card at every game?

YES. No exceptions. Please show it to the ref at the beginning of each game. You can keep a picture of it on your phone as well. These will be handed out at the coaches meeting before the season starts.

  • How do I communicate with my players?

We highly suggest that you do an initial email to your team, inviting all parents to have a meeting the first practice. Here you can let them know about the app TEAM SNAP. It’s a free communication tool for your players to remind about practices, jersey colors, practice times, etc.
